Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area. Has acknowledged expertise at conceptual level of technical skills and knowledge in at least one program area. Has basic understanding of State energy/environmental economic development issues. Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area. Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. NYSERDA's Tier 4 Program is seeking a project management consultant with extensive experience in construction management, in-field monitoring, scheduling and risk, and contract compliance. Skills include: -Extensive construction management nd monitoring experience -Schedule creation nd nalysis -Contract interpretation -Familar with RFP development and evaluation -Knowledge of Article VII permitting processes -Ability to work independantly -Excellent writing nd communication skills bility to create schedules with dependencies nd predecessors, nd perform nalysis on schedule shift. Demonstrated experience developing KPIs for construction projects, monitoring nd reporting on risk nd proposing mitigation. Familiarity with NYS Article VII Environmental Management and Construction Plan processes, and ability to navigate Department of Public Service's Document and Matter Management System. Certified PMP, preferred B.S + 7-10 years of construction experience, or MS + 3-7 years of construction experience, mandatory OSHA 10-Hour construction safety training- minimum level, mandatory REQUIRED UPON HIRE: -Project management software (MS Project, Primavera etc.) -MS Office Suite (excel, word, powerpoint) TRAINING TIME ALLOWED: -Sharepoint -Salesforce - NEIS -MS Visio
  • Monitor and report out on regularly scheduled construction progress meetings and submitted reports.
  • Perform site visits in the field throughout project cooridor
  • Proactively identify and report on project and schedule risk along with mitigation activities as needed
  • Perform contract compliance monitoring and maintain tracking tools, escalating issues as needed
  • Maintain construction reports and documentation on Sharepoint
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings
  • Develop appropriate project metrics and tracking mechanisms
  • Generate charts, tables and tools as necessary to quickly convey project status to executives
