The Role

CPES is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as a Project Engineer. In this position, the successful candidate will have the chance to work on a variety of projects in the industrial, food and beverage, and municipal wastewater sectors. This role is fast-paced and hands-on, offering the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of wastewater process engineering, from project development to start-up and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Both modeling and excel based calculations:

  • Biological and physical chemical processes
  • Anaerobic and aerobic biological processes
  • Advanced filtration/membranes
  • Mass and energy balance work and modeling of wastewater processes and waste to energy creation through anaerobic digestion
  • Development of Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDS
  • Equipment and Instrument Specifications and Technical Reviews
  • Hydraulic Calculation gravity and pressure flows
  • Technical Writing and Reports
  • Knowledge of researching and navigating codes and standards
  • Owner s Representation
  • Project development and execution
  • Treatability Testing/Pilot Testing
  • Permitting
  • Investigative fieldwork and Sampling
  • Ability to interact with both municipal and industrial clients.

Critical Path provides Project Management and Engineering Services for water, wastewater and general infrastructure and utility projects, specializing in upfront planning, budgeting and guidance for clients. With over 20 years of experience in engineering and construction consulting, Critical Path can take a project from concept through design, including owner's representation and review during construction and start-up activities. Critical Path is true to its name, aimed at providing a vision and keeping clients on track and within budget.

The Person:

  • BS/Engineering.
  • PE preferred.
  • 5 10-year experience preferred.
  • Strong Communication and Writing Skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Knowledge of industrial and/or food and beverage, or municipal wastewater.
