Job Description:
The Program Supervisor provides fiscal and programmatic oversight of OASAS-licensed halfway house designed to assist residents in maintaining sobriety/abstinence skills as they transition toward an independent, drug-free life.What You'll Be Doing
  • Coordinates and reinforces integrated residential, rehabilitation and clinical treatment
  • Oversee a team of 15 direct reports
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into house programming
  • Supervises program and its staff; duties include, but are not limited to, performance management, hiring, orienting and training new staff
  • Monitors house revenue and expenses
  • May serve as Health Coordinator who will ensure the provision of education, risk reduction, counseling and referral services to all residents regarding HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases and other communicable diseases
  • Documents and provides all services in accordance with Federal/State regulations and company policies/procedures, including those relating to scope of practice
  • Completes all trainings required
  • Reports and monitors house outcomes
  • Provides direct services as needed
  • Attends various meetings/appointments to represent company and clients
  • Assists with training of new staff
  • Contributes to continuous quality improvement
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in human services field preferred
  • 5 years of experience working with dual recovery or in the alcohol/drug field
  • Qualified mental health professional required; CASAC or CASAC-T preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of recovery- oriented substance related individual and group counseling
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and in maintenance of electronic records/charts
  • Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation for required local travel
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Must be able to physically move/react quickly, including climbing stairs, in response to situations on all interior floors of the residence and outside
