A nonprofit services organization in New York City is looking to add a Program Director to join their growing team in The Bronx.About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Scatter Site Program
- Patient Population: Homeless / Underserved
Responsibilities:
The Program Director will:
- Oversee the planning and administration of daily operations for all program locations.
- Assist and participate in the recruitment and retention of staff.
- Prepare correspondence relative to the HIV/AIDS Scatter Site Programs as requested by the Federal, State, City or other funding sources. Responsible for addressing and correcting any and all deficiencies, which may be cited as a result of audits conducted by the funding sources.
- Ensure that Quality Improvement Policies and Procedures are follow as required in treatment and services.
- Oversee the lease renewal process with Assistant Program Directors.
- Provide oversight to Assistant Program Directors to ensure that all program monthly occupancy rates are maintained at 95%.
- Supervise and coordinate the development and implementation of new scatter site units in geographic areas with limited HIV/AIDS supportive housing units and/or in areas with high incidences of HIV/AIDS.
- Oversee the implementation of staff trainings on an annual basis to increase their qualifications, knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS, mental illness and substance abuse; increase staff
- sensitivity towards working with and providing services to persons who are living with HIV/AIDS.
- Ensure timely completion of program progress reports including demographic census, services rendered, problems, and plans.
- Provide oversight in conducting an annual Client Satisfaction
- Provide direction to Assistant Program Directors regarding individual client cases such as consumer goals of recovery, rehabilitation, economic independence, stability and community
- integration.
- Conduct individual supervision meetings with Assistant Program Directors.
- Oversee the coordination of HIV/AIDS services with community services such as inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and day treatment, to close gaps in the continuum of services
- Assist the Senior Director of Program Administration or designee with special projects, analyze, research, and prepare reports as required. Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Valid NYS LCSW-R, LCSW, LMSW licensure required
- 5-7 years of administrative experience in successfully supervising the operations of Scatter Site Housing Programs
- 5+ years experience in providing direct services related to the treatment and recovery of persons living with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and serious mental illness.
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- HIV/AIDS advanced training a plus.
- CASAC is a plus
