Job description: Production Support Analyst working as a full-time consultant at Blackstone headquarters in Manhattan. You will be an employee of ATG Financial Technologies, which provides full-time on-site technology consultants for Blackstone's Alternative Asset Management (BAAM) division at the Park Avenue headquarters. BAAM is the largest discretionary investor in hedge funds in the world, and manages a significant number of direct-trading hedge funds, and ATG has provided consultants to Blackstone for 20 years to help them build their industry-leading customized solutions.

BAAM technology provides bespoke software solutions for Hedge Fund investment management and performance analysis. As a production support analyst, you will provide support to our internal business users for all aspects of our customized application suite. You will need to understand the full suite of risk systems, operational systems, liquidity analysis systems, etc., answer questions about them, and explain them to users, from new analysts to upper management. This is a full-time position suited to a candidate with strong problem-solving and written communication skills. Candidate should have a general understanding of finance and technology, and the ability to learn quickly. Good communication skills are essential. Experience with basic programming in Python and familiarity with SQL is useful but not required. Total compensation will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $90,000 to $130,000 per year (more requires significant relevant experience).

Responsibilities: Serve as the front-line for communications between the BAAM technology team and the users of their systems, including BAAM executives, hedge-fund portfolio managers, risk managers, client team, middle office and operations. Teach those users about the best way to perform their analyses, either using the existing systems or recommending enhancements and additions to the system. Assist users by sourcing information from across the technology team and performing any analysis needed to address their questions or concerns. Provide timely updates and explanations via email; document support statuses and outcomes using our ticket tool. Provide step-by-step documentation of reported software defects. Document new feature requests. Test and coordinate release of emergency fixes deployed outside of the normal release schedule.
