Purpose of the Position:

Accountable for MY finishing production processes/equipment and shift performance while maintain safety, positive working environment and protect Corning Intellectual Assets (IA).

Day to Day Responsibilities: ?

Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives ?

Schedule resources and prioritizes activities to assure efficient production schedule compliance to include product changeovers, upgrades, experiments, new product runs, training and maintenance activities. ?

Provides direction to production and maintenance employees, team leaders, technicians on established procedures and policies. ?

Communicate and report production and process performance metrics to production teams, and other functional leaders. Ensure that production targets and delivery requirements are met on a daily and weekly basis. ?

Perform performance reviews and develop and reinforce career and talent development plans for salaried/indirect labor and hourly/direct labor employees. Ensure that production process is opening in compliance to established process control setpoint and operating procedure. ?

Enforce process discipline and rigorous change control. ?

Ensure the protection of Cornings Intellectual Assets (IA). ?

Implement and monitor training, qualification, certification and development programs for new and experienced operators, team leaders. Project involved with: Reporting Structure: Immediate Supervisor: MY Production Section Manager - Mianyang Plant, Display Technologies China.

Education & Experience ?

Bachelor Degree, major in engineering or management related. ?

3 years above production or engineering related working experience, minimum 2 years supervision experience.

Required Skills ?

Familiar with production process/equipment management. ?

Strong leadership and organize skill. ?

Strong sense and capability to coordinate the plant goal through the function of Production, Technology, QA, and SCM. ?

Willingness and capability to take challenging, deadline driven assignment when it occurs. ?

Knowledge of ISO management system ?

Habit of PCPD, 5S, Safety, Change management ?

Familiar with Microsoft Office and PC skill ?

Knowledge of Process trouble shooting & prevention & data-drive, and root cause finding

Desired Skills ?

Good project management skills.(DMAIC) ?

Have a basic understand of financial knowledge. ?
