Summary Provide the primary planning and scheduling function for the Special Metals Corporation ingot, billet and bar product lines resulting in the timely and efficient manufacture of these products. Individual must be able to work in and react to changing priorities in ahigh pressure environment. Individual must have an organized, systematic approach to problem solving. The position will also provide secondary support for the Traffic department to support shipment schedules. Essential Functions Extensive knowledge and understanding of SMC manufacturing operations and capabilitiesProficiency in Oracle Applications Business SystemUse of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office for performance of daily activitiesCreate Discrete Jobs to satisfy Sales Order demand requirementsIssue releases for reapplication of existing inventory for saleManage Bar Product Line rolling schedulesIssue requisitions for outside processing requirements Additional Responsibilities As assigned by Master Planner Qualifications Education and Experience Minimum Associates degree in Applied Science or related field required, At least three years of relevant experience required. Manufacturing environment preferred. Special Skills Computer literacy is a requirement. Ability to interface with any person in the organization. Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. Reliable attendance and good communication skills are essential. Ability to work in a high pressure environment. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1.5X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter .
