As a member of the Product Development team, the Product Development Project Manager (PM) will have responsibility for all technical aspects of a development project from the point of research to full production capability including all milestones, product and performance specifications, as well as project budget and schedule on appointed stages. This position will work closely with Customers, Account Managers, Product Line Managers, Business Development, Operations and Corporate Engineering resourcesto develop next generation products leading to profitability and growth. Responsibilities Duties & Responsibilities: Support the Healthcare PD team to develop new or improved products. Help PD team to define critical specifications for new products. Provide preliminary dimensional and functional testing, during prototype and unit tool sampling, in order to provide timely feedback to speed time to market. Provide analytical and statistical support in the interpretation of all test and measurement data. Assist in the planning and qualification of processes, tools and machinery for Healthcare products. Investigate and recommend test/measurement equipment and methods for new product designs as required. Support new product development teams via participation in routinely scheduled design reviews. Participate in and/or conduct D/P FMEA (Design/Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) activities. Document qualification activities using approved Commission/Qualification/Verification (CQV) process methodologies. In conjunction with process engineering, support DOE's (Design of Experiments) and conduct such tests if deemed appropriate by the team. Collaborate with Berry's centralized analytical lab with metrology methods and equipment for their use in evaluating new products as developed. Provide manufacturing operations with methods and equipment to monitor ongoing production of new products. Conduct meaningful, improvised product experiments to troubleshoot manufacturing, capping, or filling issues that may arise in our product's use. Assist plants in design-related product performance issues or customer concerns on product functionality. Conduct all job duties in accordance with the company's published policies. Research emerging technologies related to job duties. Support a creative and positive team atmosphere to instill confidence in our external and internal customers. Produce and maintain all related documentation and data in conjunction with said duties and responsibilities. Performance Measurements: Support the product development team in meeting the annual objectives related to project cost, timing, and quality performance. Meet internal and external customer needs related to product development quality engineering. Drive accuracy, timeliness, and support for all products and projects in healthcare product development. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, science-related field, or equivalent experience Experience with laboratory and/or metrology test methods a plus Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required for data driven decisions Experience in statistical methods and programs - SPC/DOE/Minitab Experience with injection molding and/or blow molding plastic (closures or bottles a plus). Ability to travel as needed (20-30%). Initial travel needs may be greater.
