A private equity fund located in New York City is actively seeking a self-motivated and hardworking professional to join their staff as their new Private Equity Analyst / Associate. Responsibilities The Private Equity Analyst / Associate will be responsible for:
- Executing new transactions
- Active portfolio management, including board-level participation
- Assisting in managing relationships with key limited partners, private equity sponsors, and industry intermediaries/advisors
- Completing other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking (such as an alternative investment placement firm), management consulting, or private equity
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; comfortable working in financial models and analyzing large data sets
- Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) skills
- Strong project management capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to independently formulate an investment thesis based on industry, company, financial, and competitive analyses
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact confidently in high-visibility settings with senior management and external clients
