Position Summary:The Privacy Program Analyst will support the program activities and assist in identifying potential privacy risks. Primary responsibilities include conducting privacy event assessments, auditing activities, and recommending measures to mitigate privacy risks.STATUS: Full timeDEPARTMENT: Corporate Privacy ProgramLOCATION: Riedman CampusSCHEDULE: Monday - Friday daysKey Responsibilities:
  • Generate privacy audit reports within electronic medical record (EMR) systems upon request.
  • Arranges for the investigation into questionable or inappropriate access to protected health information (PHI) on behalf of Privacy liaison(s) and/or Privacy leadership.
  • Maintains documentation and evidence related to findings from audits, investigations, resolutions and sanctions.
  • Completes required HIPAA breach determination and notification processes and all applicable federal and state breach notification requirements.
  • Initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster information privacy awareness within the organization and related entities as requested.
  • Coordinates and maintains Business Associate Agreements (BAA).
  • Remains current and knowledge of applicable federal and state privacy laws.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Health Information required or equivalent combination of degree and health care experience.
  • Demonstrates organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience researching information privacy laws, governmental rules and regulations preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft tools and applications especially Excel.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task (organizing).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of HIPAA Privacy regulations.
  • Exhibit an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the mission and values of Rochester Regional Health.

PAY RANGE:$19.75 - $24.25CITY:RochesterPOSTAL CODE:14617The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
