These spindles are the heart of the Gleason machines and are what set us apart from our competition. You will get to assemble, grind, balance, test and troubleshoot these assemblies through multiple levels of quality inspections.To be successful in this position:Have a high level of mechanical aptitudeExperience with reading and understanding engineering drawings, models, work instructions and specificationsExperience working with tight tolerancesHave a basic understanding of shop mathCan verify component conformance using precision gauges, micrometers and other measuring instrumentsBe organized, systematic and detail orientedCan learn from others and follow explicit instructionHave good problem solving and troubleshootingBe collaborative and team orientedHave a high level of accountability and pride in your workPreferred Education/Training/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentRelevant certificationsExamples:Precision machiningTool and die makerInstrument makerEngine mechanicMinimum 3 years experience working with precision assembliesExamples:Spindle assemblerMachine builderEngine builderGun smithAutomotive technicianThe salary range in this posting depends on qualifications and experience.
