Context

We are looking for a highly motivated Pre-Trade IT Support Engineer to joint the Global Markets Pre-Trade IT team of a large investment bank in NYC.

This team is responsible for providing Global Macro (Rates, FX), Equity/Securities Lending, and Credit businesses with reliable and time-sensitive IT solutions to meet their needs. The team is involved in application development, business analysis, and end-user support.

The candidate will have a strong technical background with a focus on supporting critical systems and applications used in the investment banking environment. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for electronic platforms, in-house applications, and other critical systems used by front-office desks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify the root causes of technical issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and other internal teams to escalate and resolve issues.
• Document support cases and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing for new team members.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a technical support role, in the context of a front-office environment, min 2 years.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to ION solutions, MarkitWire, TradeWeb, DealerWeb, BrokerTec, Bloomberg, or other trading platforms.
• Familiarity with Python or C#.
