**SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:**
The Plumbing Service Technician will assemble, install and repair plumbing and med gas systems as necessary. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, fixtures and boilers for hydronic heating, water, med gas and drainage systems.
**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
These duties are not listed in any order of priority but will be weighted for performance management purposes.
* Diagnose problems and/or failures in a variety of plumbing and gas systems.
* Repair and install various types of piping including iron, steel, copper and PVC.
* Inspects equipment, structures and materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
* Test for leaks in new and repaired systems with compressed air and/or water.
* Operate powered equipment including hand tools, stationary machines, etc.
* Lawfully drive a motor vehicle and maintain a current drivers license in order to commute to the various current or prospective job sites in the region.
* Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Maintain truck inventory.
* Contact the office following the completion of each call, providing requested information regarding the work completed, and receiving dispatch instructions for the next call.
**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment.
* Basic knowledge of construction.
* Basic mathematical problem solving.
* Basic computer/tablet skills, including Microsoft Office products and email services.
* Journeymans License is required.
* Valid Drivers License.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
* Must be willing to travel when needed.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
Occasional lifting up to 50lbs
