The Plumber/Steamfitter maintains, repairs and installs specialized fixtures, piping and plumbing to supply gas, steam and water across all Crouse Hospital locations as assigned by department leadership.Job Requirements:EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / LICENSURERequired:+ High school diploma or equivalent required.+ Valid New York State driver s license required.+ Current fire safe/stopping materials certification at the time of hire or within ninety (90) days after hire/transfer.+ Certification must be maintained throughout employment as a Plumber/Steamfitter at Crouse Hospital.Preferred:+ Current NFPA certification as a Medical Gas Installer preferred.+ Current pipe and orbital welding certification preferred.+ Current backflow prevention device testing certification preferred.EXPERIENCERequired:+ Minimum of five (5) years work experience as a Journeyman plumber/steamfitter in a commercial, industrial or healthcare environment.SPECIAL SKILLS/EQUIPMENT+ Working knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Outlook.+ Proficient ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.+ Welding, soldering, grinding and torching. Must have the ability to complete rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed.Hourly Rate Range $24.81 - $43.73 Based on verified education and experience
