To learn more about Berry, visit PURPOSE: The Plant Engineer oversees the electrical and mechanical systems of the facility, from installation to troubleshooting. The Plant Engineer manages the maintenance and capital investment process by providing engineering and technical leadership in support of various systems, redesigning existing equipment, researching and specifying new systems. He will analyze efficiencies, test new products, processes, components and materials and lead the implementation of waste and cost savings projects and programs. The projects and processes will include direct manufacturing lines, support and infrastructure equipment, services both internal and external as well as buildings and grounds. In addition, this position will have oversight of the two direct Maintenance Supervisors and their direct reports. Responsibilities Support production and maintenance teams with technical expertise developing individuals' skill sets for overall performance Identify and correct technical problems to maintain and improve manufacturing efficiencies in coordination with the Plant Manager Manage assigned departmental budgets and projects Lead and manage capital program Monitoring process equipment service histories to improve maintenance reliability Lead OEE improvement throughout facility Manage, develop, trains, coaches, and evaluate maintenance department including the Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians Ensure that plant systems are maintain through the administration of a preventive maintenance system. Serve as project manager for large-scale projects with minimal support. Qualifications 3-5 years of related experience in a similar role Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Proficiency with AutoCAD and other CAD programs. Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
