- Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
- Proficiency in physical therapy techniques, assessments, and interventions
- Assist with evaluations and contribute to treatment plan development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Compassion and empathy towards patients
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in conducting evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities and needs
- Implement prescribed components of treatment plans under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
- Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities
- Assist patients in utilizing specialized equipment and modalities for rehabilitation
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and document patient progress, promptly reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for at-home care
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
