In this role, you ll be performing critical tasks such as blood specimen collection, both venous and capillary procedures on inpatients and outpatients. You ll also perform EKG s as needed and be responsible for identifying, processing, and distributing all laboratory specimens according to our high laboratory standards.
Hours 3PM to 11PM
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Prior phlebotomy experience preferred, with the ability to serve the needs of patients ages neonatal to geriatric.
- Able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously, in an organized manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Perform Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing: You ll be at the forefront of patient care, ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection and processing.
- Perform Specimen Preparation/Processing: This includes batching specimens, centrifuging, decanting, and relabeling.
- Perform Mini-Registration using Hospital Information System (HIS): You ll ensure all patient information is accurately recorded and updated.
- Perform Outpatient EKG s as Required: You ll be instrumental in conducting necessary EKG procedures for our outpatients.
- Order Laboratory Tests using Current Laboratory Information System (LIS): You ll play a key role in ensuring all lab tests are accurately ordered and tracked.
