The Personal Care Aide works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and provides care in accordance with the DOH Matrix of permissible and non-permissible activities. Part time positions are available with benefits.Qualifications:Successful completion of a NYS DOH approved Personal Care Aide training program as demonstrated by a valid CertificateAbility to speak, read and write in English sufficiently to understand and interpret the Plan of Care, document care provided, and able to call the office staff to report any change and/or issues.Must be reliable and compassionateMust have current driver's license, reliable vehicle and proof of auto insuranceExperience preferredSuccessfully complete a criminal background check, DMV check, fingerprinting and pre-employment physical and drug screenMust be able to travel throughout Eastern Monroe County(Pittsford, Brighton, Fairport, Webster, East Rochester, Penfield)Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reachPrimary Responsibilities:Preparing and serving normal/therapeutic dietsAssisting with bathing, personal care, and dressingMonitoring changes in client's mental and physical conditionsLight housekeepingAssist clients with self-administered medicationsTake, record and monitor temperature, pulse, respiration, intake/outputAdditional functions permissible under special circumstancesMaintain and protect client confidentialityWe Offer:
