The Wall Street Hotel has partnered with a Food & Beverage Team led by *Michelin-Starred and Award-winning Chefs and Service Professionals*

We are currently looking to fill several **Pastry Cook** positions with many opportunities for growth for the right candidate. Passionate hospitality professionals who are self motivated, organized and hard working are encouraged to apply. Candidates must also have a strong desire to learn and grow and is a team player. We are looking for people who can work well with a tight, harmonious team and who can take direction in a disciplined and intense but supportive and respectful environment.

The Wall Street Hotel pastry program will include classic French desserts, viennoisserie, bread baking, and a luxurious but whimsical amenity program.

The pastry cook will support the pastry chef in all mise-en-place and work station alongside the chef during service. Their plate-by-plate excellence will be the final touch on an elegant dining experience, following the pride and execution of all steps of service by every employee in the restaurant.

* Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence and high standards

* Consistent execution and organization of all pastry items and mise-en-place

* Team oriented and collaborative

**Responsibilities**:

* Excellent knowledge of food handling, processing techniques, and cooking

* Open to all criticism from kitchen colleagues and superiors

* Working with a sense of urgency and purpose

* Communicate when any product is low or of poor quality to any BOH Management

* Regulate the cleanliness and organization of the basement prep with systematized processing of all deliveries, exceptional cutting board cleanliness, mise-en-place organization

* All mise-en-place must be kept labeled and in an organized fashion in designated station areas in both the walk-in and the prep basement

* Constant communication with the managing chef and prep cooks to ensure all mise-en-place is up to date for any change articulated by Chefs

* Aware and vigilant of any area of improvement in their day-to-day responsibilities

* Fantastic standards of excellence

* Station break-down and deep clean must be done professionally and with pride

* Employee changing areas and lockers must be kept organized and clean
