Job Description:

This vp-level role is in the Oversight, Quality & Controls (OQC) team within Global Markets Operations. He/she/they will be responsible for performing daily booking and anti-fraud controls for NY entities as well as supporting various structured products desks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining all Anti-Fraud controls: Cancelled trades, Modified trades, Variation Margin, Internal trades, Cash Consumption, Trade Validation, Technical counterparties, A-typical transactions, Initial Margin, Notional Balances.
  • Research breaks and make risk assessments (i.e. market risk, credit risk, operational risk).
  • Identify trends such as booking errors, system errors, etc. and report daily to Compliance (2nd level control).
  • Initiate effort to remediate and prevent undesirable repetitive threshold breaks.
  • Investigates reconciliation exceptions and escalates breaches to the appropriate parties including the second level control
  • File incident reports to Operational Risk that impact PnL, Risk, Hedging, Credit Risk, and Market Risk
  • Input and model new transactions in our key risk management and pricing tool (PolyPaths); liaising with the Risk Department, Front, and Back offices
  • Approve SSI s in various payment and sub ledger systems.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintains database for trigger and collateral data on structured credit transactions.
  • Capture, extract, and massage data and update database
  • Perform trigger calculations on a monthly basis and produce trend reporting
  • Produce weekly and biweekly balance reconciliations for loans
  • Manages monthly downloads of trustee reports for structured transactions.
  • Prepares monthly KPIs, KRIs and trends for Permanent Control, Operational Risk, and Senior Management
  • Coordinates and organizes governance projects with other Operations teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Financial Services Industry (Banking/Brokerage Support preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Time management and prioritization.
  • Independent, self-motivated, high energy, able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Series 99

The salary range for this position will be between $110,000 - $140,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
