DESCRIPTION:Duties: Perform scientific due diligence and provide subject matter expertise to ensure environmental and social governance (ESG) considerations of debt capital market transactions are aligned with both JPMorgan and international standards. Perform sectoral analysis of material environmental considerations. Evaluate emissions and environmental data against climate change scenarios and industry peers. Create and update sector specific guidelines for ESG financial products based on evolving market trends for internal stakeholders. Understand and utilize emerging emissions abatement and measurement technologies. Prepare client communications and presentations for ESG projects. Familiarize with market trends, investor preferences, ESG regulation and communicate succinctly with clients and internal teams. Market and execute debt transactions for corporate issuers. Teach and mentor internal JPMC colleagues on nuances of various forms of ESG financings. Up to 25% domestic travel is required.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Environmental Science and Management, Environmental Studies or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Global Environmental and Social Risk Management, Environmental Specialist, Sustainability Coordinator, Sustainability Project Assistant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Management, Environmental Studies or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Global Environmental and Social Risk Management, Environmental Specialist, Sustainability Coordinator, Sustainability Project Assistant, or related occupation.Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Data analysis for ESG risk management; ESG reporting; Environmental consultancy; Climate change strategy development; carbon abatement and related technical concepts; Climate risk assessment; GHG emissions accounting; and, environment, health and safety management in oil and gas operations.Job Location: 383 Madison Ave, New York, New York 10179.
