This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products by operating cutting machinery and following safety protocols.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow all safety policies, wear PPE and following procedures consistently. Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce risk of injury or material damage
  • Utilize the AS400 system and RF scanner to verify order requirements and inventory info.
  • Accurately review work orders and complete quality checks per customer requirements
  • Complete operator preventative maintenance on saws
  • Manage drop inventory effectively (use aged material and locate properly in system)
  • Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy
  • Package and stage finished skids
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with machine operation including set up, operator maintenance and troubleshooting (3 years)
  • Forklift experience
  • Perform math using decimals to determine plate optimization
  • Standing for long periods of time. Bending, stooping, pushing, and lifting to 50Lbs. Able to climb in and out of side loaders and fork trucks.
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn continued skills/safety knowledge
  • Good communication skills, works with positive attitude, a team player
  • Excellent attendance a must
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).

If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
