Easterseals has been an American Institution since 1919.Easterseals New York joined The Fedcap Group in 2015.Job Title: Occupational TherapistLocation: Bronx, NYFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Type: Full-TimeSalary Range- $60,000-85,000 (depending on credentials and experience)Position Summary:Easterseals-Story Ave is seeking an Occupational Therapist.Essential Job Functions:
  • Work as a member of the team (family, staff and other service providers) to provide quality supports and services for children and their families.
  • Participate in team evaluations to determine developmental status and initial or ongoing eligibility.
  • Develop IFSP's with other team members.
  • Maintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques.
  • Provide occupational therapy services for children.
  • Write progress notes on time schedule addressing the child's strengths, needs and progress.
  • Complete record keeping as required by licensing/certifying agency.
  • Aid in maintaining equipment and workspace.
  • Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Assist in staff development and training.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform additional duties as requested.
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelors Degree or its equivalent in the field of Occupational Therapy from a recognized college or university
  • Current license by the State Board of Registration in Medicine
  • Three years experience working with children as a therapist is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
