SpineSearch is currently seeking to fill multiple openings for Nurse Practitioners to join a renowned hospital system's neurosurgery department in Manhattan, New York. Also accepting Physician Assistants.
Position is full time, Monday through Friday - offers a competitive salary based on experience, comprehensive benefits, and room for growth.
Requirements of the Nurse Practitioner:
- Master's Degree
- New York State Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in neurology, neurosurgery, spine or related specialty. Extensive neuro experience as an RN also accepted
Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions/illnesses
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Manage patients' overall care
- Take patients' medical histories and record demographics
- Conduct physical examinations
- Counsel patients on preventative care
- Explain treatment and care plans for both pre-op and post-op
- Maintains a proficient knowledge of neuro specialty
- Clinic position, no OR
- See patients in outpatient clinic setting for pre and post op neuro visits
