Network/Server Administrator- Senior Level
**Dayton T. Brown** is a Leader in ENGINEERING & TEST | LOGISTICS | TECH PUBLICATIONS | MILITARY MISSIONS SYSTEMS. We have a perfect opportunity for a **Full-Time, on-site, Hands-On- Sr. Network Administrator** to join our amazing talented groupof IT individuals.
**Primary responsibilities will be:**
* Establish, coordinate, recommend and maintain standards, policies and procedures to support all technology requirements.
* Maintain the company's networks & systems to include physical cabling, switching, servers & VoIP Phone System ensuring that all systems are secure, available and performing at optimum levels.
* Provide technical support to on-site and remote users of our systems and/or software; troubleshoot user problems and determine the appropriate path for a solution when applicable.
* Maintain & document all network, telephony and production server information.
* Configuration of firewalls, routers, and switches to include Dell & Unifi Switches, Wireless infrastructure.
* Interface with managers, consultants, technical teams, and vendors for maximum guidance in determining the most appropriate type of hardware installation.
* Prepares Reports, checklists, and processes to ensure all protocols are being followed.
* Perform Change Management sessions prior to software and/or hardware deployment or change over in addition to providing detailed information as to the work being done prior to execution.
* Monitor and measure the health of our overall network and implement security measures to ensure the safety of the company's network. Monthly review of all hardware and software to ensure that proper maintenance and/or updates are applied.
* Implement and execute a Disaster Recovery Plan. Schedule and execute Disaster Recovery Drill on a bi-yearly basis. Review and improve plan based on results.
**The ideal Candidate will need:**
* Extensive on the job knowledge in configuring simple to complex networks, migrations, telephony deployment, maintenance, upgrades, equipment purchases,
* To be able to demonstrate good written, and oral communications skills.
* To be well organized, able to troubleshoot and analyze situations to apply appropriate solutions quickly and efficiently in various situations.
* To physically be able to rack and stack servers, build network racks, patch panels. Attention to detail and strong cable management skills a must.
* The ability to administer, modify and maintain firewall rules, Dell and Unifi Switches, AD environment.
* To be available to work overtime to support off-hours upgrades and migrations.
* Min of 5+ years of experience working within IT/Technical support
* Must be able to obtain a security clearance
* US Citizenship Required
