- Authoring design documents, engineering standards, and creating best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends.
- Mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization.
- Serve as an escalation for the operating teams during network outages.
- Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able explain network design, articulate risk, and facilitate decision making.
- Strong security focus and experience with Network Security Concepts and Multi-tier Security architectures.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale networks in a Financial Services Firm, Technology vendor, or systems integrator.
- Expertise in Ethernet technologies, Multilayer Switching, IP Routing (RIP, OSPF, BGP, MPBGP, TCP/IP), Multicast routing (PIM, IGMP, MSDP), VxLAN, and Cisco Switching & Routing Platforms.
- Platform knowledge on Cisco Nexus 9000 Series, ASR 1000x Series Routers, ASR 9000 Series Routers, and Arista Switching platforms.
- Working knowledge of various Network OS such as Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, and Arista EOS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook) and UNIX/Linux.
