About the role:

The Streaming TV Graphics Department at Trusted Media Brands is seeking an experienced Broadcast/Digital Motion Design Lead to join the companys design team working exclusively for the *The Family Handyman* brand. The ideal candidate has seven years or more in a design role doing motion and still graphics for broadcast and digital media. This role demands a self-starter who can work independently, move quickly, and easily switch from project to project. This is a chance to work with and learn from a team of seasoned and fast-moving designers in a fun environment. A degree or certificate is not required so long as you have a body of work (must have a portfolio), demonstrable skills, and a passion for design. This position reports to the Art Director and is remote.

Location:

We have offices in New York, Los Angeles, New Delhi, London, Milwaukee and Minnesota. We welcome you to any of our offices, but you can also have the opportunity to work from home.

Your Day-to-Day

* Design and build show/channel identities and graphics packages, from show opens, transitions, backgrounds, to set and scenic design.

* Work collaboratively across departments such as programming, marketing, and production.

* Assist in creation of graphic elements -- lower-thirds and other on-screen graphic elements -- for the channels various online programming and series.

* Incorporate revisions per feedback as appropriate, ensuring approved layouts conform to style guides.

* Contribute to creative brainstorms for various new initiatives .

* Contribute to and maintain style guides/online design libraries to accompany final project deliverables.

You Have

* Experience working knowledge of video, animation, and interactive software, including but not limited to Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.

* Strong digital design portfolio.

* Meticulous attention to detail and overall product quality.

* Strong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, images, and interactivity impact design.

* Solid understanding of broadcast design, including network graphics to show graphics.

* Careful attention to detail and sensitivity to version control issues.

* Solid knowledge of the production process (e.g. optimizing graphics, compression settings and file size, and image optimization).

* Excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
