Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Product Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a complete and thorough implementation of new mortgage products and services, and ensuring all team members are well-informed and trained on existing products and updates. Reporting directly to the President of HUNT Mortgage, the Product Development Coordinator will collaborate with senior leadership and department heads in developing new product offerings, product updates, and trainings, serving as the expert in product offerings throughout markets and the overall industry.This role will follow a hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote per week. At this time, we are only considering candidates in the Buffalo/Niagara Region who are open to a hybrid schedule.Primary Functions:
  • Monitor market trends for new and emerging mortgage lending product offerings and product promotions
  • Collaborate with senior management and provide recommendations for additional product offerings, promotions, and investors
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on developing comprehensive implementation of new products, including preparing, distributing, and training on new product descriptions and procedures
  • Evaluate and provide ongoing feedback on down payment assistance programs per local markets, including product specifications, approval processes, and implementation procedures
  • Collaborate with and assist IT with testing eligibility criteria for all mortgage products in the Loan Origination System (LOS) for each channel
  • Maintain working knowledge of investor guidelines, ensuring each mortgage product is current, accurate, and thoroughly explained in the product description
  • Communicate all mortgage product changes to team members, creating and maintaining a product matrix outlining the features of HUNT's mortgage products, along with maintaining and updating Fee Charts as needed
  • Manage and maintain underwriting guidelines and training guides with current information, maintaining an archived history of changes
  • Assist Regional Sales Managers and Department Heads in training new and existing team members on our product offerings, including implementing new vendors into the process
  • Work closely with the Compliance Team to ensure products meet federal, state, and local compliance regulations
  • Manage other special assignments and projects as needed
  • Other related duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well-organized and detail oriented with the ability to efficiently manage several projects at once
  • Expert customer service skills
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage products, services, and applicable lending guidelines
  • Excitement to work in a cooperative, collegial manner with other team members and departments to accomplish Company goals and objectives
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage lending and policy/product guideline interpretation
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid working environment

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
