UnionPay America branch is seeking a Merchant Development Manager. He/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key merchants. A detailed job description is listed below.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify potential partnerships to increase UnionPay card acceptance. Lead sales and services discussions with strategic merchants and be responsible for all activities related to the opportunity.

2. Consultatively identifying and prioritizing merchant needs and crafting customized solutions that grow the merchants business and increase merchant satisfaction with UnionPay products/services.

3. Analyze and monitor ongoing industry trends to develop and implement pre-emptive strategies and plans for potential partner.

4. Be responsible for achieving sales and growth objectives for UnionPay eCommerce Solutions, in a portfolio of strategic merchant and partner relationships.

5. Be the single point of contact for merchant. Provide high degree of customer care with a pro-active, solutions-oriented mindset. Identify & foster strategic relationships within merchant organization that will elevate partner discussions to focus on growth; conduct regular audit on UnionPay signage.

6. Identify merchant investment & partnership opportunities that will jointly benefit merchants and UnionPay.

7. Work with key merchants in expanding signage placement and conducting merchant training.

8. Work closely with other teams to develop payment solutions, products, marketing and promotion plans to increase transaction volume.

9. Lead Contract negotiations and ensure delivery of all aspects of program initiatives including service levels, management reporting, marketing programs, etc.

10. Other tasks assigned by the company.

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above, prefer in business related majors.

2. 3-5 years experience in payment industry, e-commerce, project management, or business development and relationship maintenance.

3. Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking.

4. Good communication and interpersonal skill.

5. Able to navigate within a highly matrixed organization

6. Solid collaborative and influence management skills - Leading successful client negotiations and creating mutually beneficial outcomes

7. Ability to multitask and prioritize between business development and project execution tasks.
