Job Description:

Under direction and with wide latitude for the exercise of independent initiative and judgment, directs and/or coordinates the administration aspects of the Mental Health Continuum, a collaboration with DOE and DOHMH/Office of School Health. The Coordinating Manager will provide support to the participating Child and Adolescent Clinics.

Under the direction of the Associate and Assistant Director, the Coordinating Manager will provide a wide range of administrative tasks including data collection.

The Coordinating Manager in Office of Behavioral Health is part of an administrative support team that works closely with the behavioral health program, quality assurance and fiscal staff in the office to ensure that the program produces timely and high-quality services and deliverables.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Associate Director and Medical Director with answering calls, maintain schedule by setting up meetings and responding to meeting requests, book meeting rooms and support visitors.
  • Assist in the collection, organization and input of various indicators and data collection for Child and Adolescent Programming.
  • Submit reports to DOHMH, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Attend meetings and transcribe meeting minutes and voice recordings for meetings as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for Associate Director and Assistant Director as needed.
  • Provide support and direction for participating clinics.
  • Help maintain office contact lists up to date as well as mailing lists
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Other assignments as needed or assigned.
  • Provide technical assistance to facilities to standardize care and demonstrate improved outcomes for children and adolescents
  • Assist in data collection and other special projects as needed.
  • Performs special assignments as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A Master s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and

2. Two (2) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, one (1) year of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician; or two (2) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or

3. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in 1 above; and

4. Three (3) years of full-time experience, as described in 2 above, including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations, as listed in 2 above; or

5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

Note: Certification or licensure may be required.
