The Mental Health Clinician serves as a Primary Mental Health Therapist. The County has several positions available at this time. Positions are available in a variety of our behavioral health programs (including our OMH licensed clinic; Open Access Center & Crisis Team; OMH school based mental health clinics; and with our County Jail Forensic Team). The LMSW or LMHC works with a multi-disciplinary team and involves assessing clients and providing psychotherapy . Work schedule is full-time is 37.5 hours/week. Competitive starting salary is $68,460 annually ($34.84 per hour) with annual hiring anniversary pay grade increases plus annual COLA, plus excellent benefits: New York State Retirement Pension Plan benefit, health insurance including medical, dental, eye care and prescription plan, health plan is 90% paid by the County, 5.5 weeks combined paid sick & vacation leave (plus one additional week of paid leave after 5 years of service), plus 12 paid holidays, plus many other benefits including flex time, free parking, paid CEU time, and more. Masters is Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required (licensed not required at time of hire). Full license or permit required within 6 months of hire. Civil Service exam waived at this time.
