Job Description:
Responsible for providing supportive services to hospital Administration and Medical/ Dental/ Podiatric/AHP Staff. Assists the Medical Staff Manager in ensuring that the operation of the department is in accordance with the Medical Staff policies, Bylaws, Rules & Regulations to assure that only qualified practitioners provide care in the Hospital.
Responsibilities:
* Provides support services to Hospital Administration and Medical Staff
* Assist with Credentialing process
* Maintain knowledge of privileging and credentialing process for medical staff members and allied health members
* Process all Medical Staff and Allied Health Staff credentialing and re-credentialing applications
* Maintains confidential credentials files and electronic medical staff databases
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or Equivalency
* Associate's Degree preferred
* 5 years Secretarial/Office experience preferred
* Minimum 2 years in a Medical Affairs Department preferred
* Experience in MIDAS Credentialing program preferred
