Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Clerk to join their team immediately on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The Medical Clerk will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth documentation process within the medical facility.
Responsibilities:
- Track medical records, meticulously sorting and scanning documents to uphold precise and organized record-keeping standards.
- Update client lists and efficiently manage document storage systems to streamline operations.
- Execute various clerical tasks including typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading, providing vital support to office functions.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards, ensuring the safeguarding of personal and financial information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare and dispatch records to physicians utilizing appropriate mailing sources, meeting designated timeframes and quality standards.
- Leverage at least one year of relevant experience or equivalent training to execute duties with proficiency and effectiveness.
- Gather and arrange examinee charts for examinations and depositions, maintaining meticulous organization.
- Manage both electronic and hard copies of charts and medical report forms, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Finalize completed charts by meticulously confirming the inclusion of all records, eliminating duplicates or extraneous documents as necessary.
- Provide assistance with various clerical tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support office operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred, though not mandatory.
- Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems highly desired.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in record-keeping, ensuring the integrity of documentation processes.
