The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, an award-winning, federally qualified community health center in New York City, is seeking a Medical Informatics Program Manager to lead the migration of patient and clinical data from our current AthenaPractice system to EPIC, and to oversee the implementation of EPIC in our organization. This role will play a pivotal part in our adoption of new technology infrastructure, optimizing workflows, enhancing connectivity with patients as well as external organizations, and ultimately improving patient care.

Responsibilities :

+ Project Management

+ Develop and execute a comprehensive project implementation plan, resource allocation, and timeline management

+ Oversee all phases of the project, including data mapping, system configuration, user training, go-live support, and post-implementation optimization

+ Manage and track project progress against established timelines and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks

+ Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including IT, clinical and administrative departments, the leadership teams, and external consultants, business associates, and vendors

+ Data Migration

+ Support the development of a comprehensive data extraction, transformation, and loading strategy for migrating data from AthenaPractice to EPIC

+ Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to ensure data integrity and quality throughout the migration process

+ Develop and implement data validation procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data

+ Develop a risk mitigation plan with stakeholders to ensure there are adequate backup plans for continuity of patient care and integrity of health center information

+ EPIC Implementation

+ Work closely with EPIC vendors and consultants to configure the system to meet our specific workflow needs and clinical requirements.

+ Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on EPIC functionality and best practices.

+ Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users during and after EPIC go-live.

+ Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for ongoing optimization and improvement

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

+ Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred, (Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience will be considered)

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the healthcare IT or data migration context

+ Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and practices (e.g., HL7, FHIR)

+ Proven project management experience in successfully managing complex IT projects, including data migrations, system implementations, and change management initiatives

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills

+ Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Knowledge of EPIC system and its functionalities is a significant advantage

+ PMP certification a plus

Compensation and Benefits :

+ Salary: $75,000.00 - 95,000.00 per year
