Medical Assistant, Erie, PA
  • Direct Hire as an employee of Company
  • Erie, PA
  • Daylight Schedule
  • $17.00 - $20.00 per hour as new employee (performance pay raises available, after hire)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification required
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Degree Program required
  • Experience with the following Medical Assistant functions:
    • Injections
    • Phlebotomy
    • EKGs
    • Vitals
    • Rooming Patients
    • Urinalysis
    • Autoclaving/Sterilizing
    • Medical Charting
    • Assisting staff with medical procedures
  • Willingness to work at multiple locations
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a medical office setting
  • Typing, general computer skills required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Answer calls and provide pertinent information including patient education as directed.
  • Check schedules and organize patient flow.
  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure room.
  • Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
