Job Description

We are currently seeking a bright and self-motivated Medicaid Entitlement Specialist to join our team. The Medicaid Entitlement Specialist is responsible for assisting clients in the Medicaid recertification process to reactivate their insurances so NYPCC services can continue without disruption.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact clients that have lost their Medicaid coverage to discuss possible resolutions and next steps
  • Work with clients to gather, verify, and prepare the information for the Medicaid application form
  • Submit Medicaid application to the appropriate jurisdiction and follow up until approved.
  • Communicate with appropriate Medicaid offices by telephone, in writing, or face to face
  • Follow up on additional information requested
  • Respond to denials including, but not limited to, appearing at fair hearings
  • Monitor eligibility reports for coverage issues
  • Prepare and complete re-certification applications as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications
  • MUST be Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor s Degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working with Medicaid application and recertification process
  • Desired, but not required, experience with the NY State of Health Marketplace as an Assistor
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great can do personality
  • Passionate about NYPCC s mission and values

Additional Information

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
