**Description**

The Media Planner and Buyer will be responsible for planning and execution related to all Pace/client paid media programs. This role will provide media leadership within Pace by applying expertise across all paid media and content distribution principles for a world-class roster of major brands (mostly Fortune 100). This position will work with strategy, content, analytics and account teams to translate the client goals and objectives for target audiences on specified platforms, primarily high performance content ad networks. This role is responsible for executing an emerging discipline while fostering integration/communication across all departments, verticals, and relevant clients.

**Please note that this position is open to remote candidates who do not reside near one of our brick and mortar locations. Relocation will not be required.**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

* Guide and drive supply- and demand-side media plans for client account(s) and help to set overall objectives

* Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, and correspondence from within and outside the agency)

* Prepare plan presentations and oversee preparation of media plan presentation elements

* Negotiate and buy placements, plan for trafficking of media assets

* Direct, review, and execute the development and implementation of specified media plans and audience targeting strategies

* Participate in recurring and ad hoc media meetings with clients, while providing insight into relevant online media results

* Build and maintain relationships with media publishers, content networks and native advertising strategies and platforms

* Understand and adopt new trends and/or processes in paid/interactive media for clients

* Managing the scheduling, buying, posting, and tracking, as well as compiling performance reports

* Review site invoices and work with Accounting and Account Service to ensure accurate payment and prepare campaign reconciliations.

* Develop a successful network of media professionals and buying partners through networking and meeting with media technology suppliers

* Be able to recommend the best platforms for the best results based on client needs and inputs.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Education:**

Bachelors degree

**Experience:**

2-5 years of Digital media planning and buying experience

2-5 years executing paid SEM (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc).

2-5 years executing paid social (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, etc).

1+ years executing programmatic buys.

Certifications are a plus.

**Skills:**

* Must be a self-starter, with strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal direction.

* Strong researcher with a proven ability to implement targeting strategies and media positions for ecommerce (direct) and brand driven campaigns

* Experience across:

+ Paid social and paid search (SEM)

+ Campaign management across display, native, programmatic, ad networks, and third part ad servers

* Proven ability to synthesize data/results, identify trends/key findings and present innovative integrated media recommendations that go beyond existing scope of work to achieve clients' marketing and communications objectives

* Experience analyzing data and market research and applying to targeting audience planning scenarios

* Innate curiosity and aptitude (staying abreast of trends and activities in the digital marketing and clients' business) that proactively demonstrate thought leadership and new ideas/recommendations

* Strong time-management, communication and organizational skills

* Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors

* Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects

Candidate will be expected to provide or create a sample media plan based on prior relevant work experience.
