Responsibilities:

In this role as Mechanical Engineer, your primary focus will be on conducting facility assessments for the New York State Office of General Services facility assessment program.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of facilities within the NYS OGS portfolio of buildings, adhering to established protocols and standards. Collaborating with project stakeholders to define assessment criteria and objectives aligned with the mission of our client and NYS OGS. Utilizing industry-leading methodologies and tools to gather, analyze, and present assessment data effectively. Developing detailed Improvement Plans to prioritize facility upgrades and renovations based on assessment data and program priorities. Engaging with interdisciplinary teams to integrate assessment results into conceptual designs for cost estimation and scheduling. Providing technical expertise and guidance to support the program.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree or Master s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Possession of a Licensed Professional Engineer designation with significant experience in facility assessment is highly desirable. Proven track record of managing assessments for public agencies or governmental organizations. Familiarity with NYS OGS procedures is advantageous. Solid knowledge of building systems and construction methodologies, with experience evaluating diverse facility types. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences. A detail-oriented mindset committed to accuracy and precision in assessment methodologies and reporting. Familiarity with the Uniformat Group II classifications system is advantageous.

We offer competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a positive work environment. Compensation: Minimum: $80,000; Maximum: $140,000. (The provided range reflects the salary that the Firm is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, experience, and location.)
