KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementing underwriting responsibilities in alignment with global and regional strategies, including:
- Applying best practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring throughout the underwriting process, from initial discussions to credit approval memos and senior approval forums.
- Managing resources and acting as a primary contact for team escalations/guidance.
- Conducting detailed reviews of financial analysis, due diligence, projection modeling, stress testing, risk rating, and other comprehensive analyses conducted by junior staff.
- Reviewing and approving Credit Approval Memos (CAM) packages.
- Collaborating with Front Office on structuring and developing term sheets for new transactions.
- Cultivating relationships with key clients in Banking and Risk, as well as with regulators, Internal Audit, and control functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15+ years of relevant experience in banking/financial institutions, including 10+ years of managerial experience.
- Senior Credit Officer designation preferred.
- Ability to engage effectively with regulators, internal control functions, and external audit.
- Demonstrated ethics and integrity.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete tasks independently.
