Material Handler Job Purpose:Under direction, performs a variety of receiving and inventory activities, stores and distributes supplies and equipment to other departments.
Duties:- Receives and inspects all incoming raw materials and supplies and then distributes to the appropriate department or stocks into the warehouse inventory.
- Maintains complete inventory cards and records for all inventory items and builds steel kits as needed to supply production.
- Maintain constant flow of materials to the production floor and to meet the customer's demand.
Skills/Qualifications:- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing or carrying materials on a consistent basis and for long periods of time.
- Must be able to read and implement basic work instructions.
- Must understand basic inventory and warehouse practices.
- Must be able to safely and competently operate a forklift.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Follow drug free workplace policy.
- Preferred experienced in large load capacity boat trailers, box trucks for example (26 feet +) to include moving and manipulating in designated areas to and from.
Position Requirements:- Must have a clean driving record.
- Experience with movingboat trailers or equipment comparable.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Must be able to perform equipment inspections before and after use.
- Position availability must include Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Hours fluctuate to include some overtime and possible Saturday work.
- Highschool diploma/GED required.
- 2 years' experience working in industrial, manufacturing environment preferred.
