POSITION SUMMARYThe Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Casino Marketing efforts as directed by the Marketing Manager. Responsibilities include event execution, creative creation, proofing, guest relations efforts as well as a variety of associated administrative, fiscal, personnel support, and planning activities including processing all business paperwork and office administrative activities for the Marketing, Promotions, Player Development, and Entertainment areas of the Marketing Department. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible to ensure the employee is compliant with Internal Control Policy and Procedures, New York State Gaming Commission rules and regulations including Responsible Gaming requisites.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIESThe following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all inclusive.
  • Maintains the integrity of the brand promise and the Responsible Gaming message throughout all creative elements by ensuring that the logos and images are correct, as well as the appropriate gaming disclaimers
  • Oversees all incoming job requests to ensure that projects are completed correctly in a timely manner and within budget
  • Coordinates the internal production flow for the Marketing department by gathering copy, creative direction, and necessary approvals
  • Assists in the promotional activities and work closely with support teams to ensure the correct information is being shared with the public and Team Members for events and promotions
  • Required to work effectively with outside vendors, internal, and external clients when needed
  • Required to work with the Marketing Manager to make sure that the signage created is on-brand
  • Required to coordinate property events to include planning and execution of decor and food and beverage for casino events
  • Assists in the facilitation of all filming and photography for the property, press, and media exposure, obtaining all appropriate signed contracts, certificates of insurance and release forms
  • Ensures all projects are completed in a timely fashion for it to be disseminated to the public
  • Participates in the review and approval process of all Marketing material by proofreading for content (i.e., spelling and grammar) and correct images
  • Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintain a positive and professional work environment
  • Utilizes effective communication tools to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely information is provided through Marketing and other departments
  • Works with Unifocus software (i.e., guest relations efforts, guest questions)
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITYThe Marketing Coordinator does not have any Supervisor Authority SIGNATORY ABILITY

WORKING CONDITIONSMust have ability to:
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts'
  • Required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to computer keyboard
  • Interpret and follows through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
JOB QUALIFICATIONSThe Marketing Coordinator possessing experience in gaming operations and thorough knowledge of all casino advertising and marketing preferred. Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to interact effectively with the public, staff, and colleagues. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required; equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, business periodicals, instructions, and correspondence/memos; author reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff, guests, and the general public. Working knowledge of Excel and Word required. Attention to detail and accuracy. Previous customer service experience preferred. Maintain confidential information.COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESIn addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
  • Obtain required license(s)
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
  • Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department
  • Knowledge of the property's programs to address problem gambling
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls
  • Responsible for taking the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management
  • Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of
