- This position is for a semiconductor packaging technician who will help support lab and fab operations on a day shift rotation.
- This candidate for this position should be a technician level as him/her must be able to work independently after a training period. 1-2 years of experience in a semiconductor lab and/or fab environment with knowledge of semiconductor chip bonding & assembly, organic substrate, reliability, failure analysis, material characterization techniques is preferred.
- Semiconductor Research has a need for a self-motivated, responsible semiconductor packaging technician.
- This technician will support packaging lab and fab operations including a variety of bonding & assembly, reliability, failure analysis, characterization techniques. The job will require he / she individual to work to ensure issues are resolved in a timely basis.
- Work with lab/fab team using semiconductor bonding & assembly, failure analysis, metrology tools.
- Identify any tool issues and troubleshoot as experience allows. Communicate issues across team members including to tool vendor.
- Build/modify tool recipes, as needed.
- Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required, in order of importance, and number of years experience, where applicable, in each skill:
- Semiconductor lab/fab experience, 0-2 years.
- Experience with flip chip assembly, reliability testing, and failure analysis, 0-2 years.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor packaging/assembly processes, laminate, reliability test, and tools, 0-2 years.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying problems and taking appropriate actions, 2 years.
- Other Skills Desired, Years in each skill, where applicable:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT), Microsoft Outlook
- SAFETY Requirements: CNSE Advanced safety training course will be required (on-line course)
