Manufacturing DirectorPrimary Job Location: Elmira, NYEmployment Format: Full Time/On sitePosition Overview: The Manufacturing Director is responsible for planning, executing and evaluating the manufacturing group and multiple projects at the same time, according to predetermined timelines, budget and quality level. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, he/she will be responsible to build and manage teams, provide executive level reporting, while monitoring the project throughout its lifecycle. He or she will be responsible for strategic level process designed to improve operations while establishing advanced manufacturing capabilities.Responsibilities:They will manage projects from initiation to closure to meet the deadlines, cost and quality levelsThey will oversee and direct the manufacturing managers, direct and indirect manufacturing workforce and interact with other supporting functions and groupsThey will be accountable for project results and managing the resources to achieve the goalsThey will work with customers and stakeholders to ensure adherence to safety regulations, scope of work, goals, deliverables, KPIs, budget, timing and quality levelThey will have to track and report project milestones and provide status to corporate executive level while keeping the work force informed of progress. They will have to lead, coach, and motivate project and manufacturing team membersThey will have to deal with complex problems and work towards providing a timely solution to themThey will have to implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputsReport and analyze project evaluation and assessments to ensure proper controls are in placeThey will be responsible for managing the production staff: for their technical or functional development and performance during the projectsThey will be responsible to determine any recruitment needs and any adjustments needed to increase or reduce the workforceThey will have to analyze the risk and future impact of decisionsThey will have to recognize how corporate culture impacts the success of the project; know how to use organization to achieve objectivesThey will set and meet deadlines. Forecast changes and communicate current and projected issuesThey will ensure open communication to the management team. Address delicate situations and handle conflicts in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to riskAs the director of the biggest work group in the plant, they must create a sense of belonging and ownership among team members, enforce accountability, respect, coaching, motivation and leadership, among othersThey will be responsible of the Manufacturing Process Team and any related activities.Qualifications:Required:Master s Degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or related10-15 years of manufacturing supervisory experience and continuous improvement initiatives.Project and /or line management experienceBenefits: Available benefits to be discussed during the interviewNotes:Salary: $160,000 - $180,000#LI-SA1#M1
