Oberon Securities, based in New York City, is seeking experienced Managing Directors with expertise raising asset, cash flow and enterprise based loans for middle market businesses. Ideal candidates are those who can source and execute investment banking transactions with middle-market companies. The firm s compensation structure is predominantly commission-based with an extremely high payout to its senior professionals (typically between 65% - 80% of fees are paid out to the banking team). In lieu of a standard base salary, our senior bankers are paid a significant portion of the monthly retainer payments the firm receives from clients typically running at greater than $100,000 annualized per Managing Director - with commission-based payouts often taking total annual compensation to between mid-six and seven figures. Equity grants are provided to senior bankers typically within two years of joining the firm.
Founded in 2001, Oberon has approximately 75 professionals and has newly built-out offices in midtown Manhattan - although senior bankers are given the flexibility to work remotely if they prefer (approximately 1/3 of the team is located outside of the Metropolitan New York area). The firm's three Managing Partners each have approximately 30 years of investment banking and related Wall Street experience, having been responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring, and closing of M&A transactions and capital raises at the Firm. Former employers of the firm's Managing Directors include Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, JP Morgan, UBS and Deutsche Bank, among others.
The firm focuses on providing sell-side and buy-side M&A services and raising equity & debt capital primarily for privately owned and small-cap publicly traded companies across virtually all industries. As a five-time winner of the M&A Advisor Award for Deal of the Year award, the firm has completed over 300 transactions with more than $4 billion in cumulative transaction value. The firm has significant and high-quality deal flow and is looking for seasoned bankers who can immediately help execute these transactions as well as originate new ones.
Abundant resources are provided to senior team members to assist in executing transactions including highly capable junior and mid-level bankers and subscriptions to S&P Capital IQ and other data feeds.
