Job Summary

The Manager, US Media position reports directly to the Director, US Marketing and PR and is responsible for managing all aspects of the US media plan. This position works closely with the Global Marketing team and external media agency to specially craft, implement and execute a comprehensive media strategy that aligns with the Global calendar and US business goals and objectives. This role will have one direct report.

Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Create and consistently manage the US media plan in cooperation with the external media agency to support the brand and retail objectives from a national and regional level
  • Oversee media strategy, planning, campaign management, data and insights; develop and present plans and detailed recommendations to drive brand awareness, traffic, conversion and increase ROI
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to align media initiatives with market specific activations that will drive traffic to retail Salons, and will result in new and repeatable sales
  • Collaborate transversally to build awareness of key strategic pillars supported by media to enhance commercial impact
  • Lead day-to-day media management as well as budget allocation across all media channels and retail locations
  • Partner with external media agency and provide clear directives and briefing documents to optimize campaign launches and performance
  • Formulate and recommend long-term strategic plans that generate measurable results and encompasses a full-funnel approach
  • Cultivate relationships with key media partners and publishers to create unique opportunities which land the content and creative idea with consumers, while negotiating strong added value programs
  • Map-out visual layouts to showcase content planning for booked media, while adhering to the Global strategy and identify best ad visuals based on business needs and sales trends
  • Ensure timely ad creation and delivery for all creative assets across print, online and OOH
  • Devise monthly reports and share insights on the US media spend, projected forecasts and performance
  • Track and analyze best practices and performance with digital campaign initiatives. Provide wrap up reports to submit to the Global Marketing team. Identify strengths and weaknesses per campaign.
  • Collaborate with data & measurement team to ensure that all distribution can be measured against campaign KPIs
  • Fulfill Lease Required Advertising for select US Retail locations
  • Analyze multiple sources of external data to assist planning and buying decisions
  • Evaluate all forms of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach target audience
  • Research competitive landscape, identify content trends, champion competitive strategies and identify best practices
  • Administration of the US Media budget, ensuring efficient allocations, departmental invoicing, monthly budget reporting and reconciliation with Finance
  • Manage day-to-day work flow for the Analyst, US Media

Job Qualifications

  • Cross channel exposure inclusive of Print, Digital, Social and SEM
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • At least five years' experience working in media at a brand, marketing agency, media company, or related organization
  • A passionate, autonomous, forward thinker who takes ownership of their work and the outcome of their efforts
  • Proficiency in media analytics / reporting / data results
  • Previous experience in budget management and optimization
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills along
  • Excellent verbal and written/presentation and communications skills
  • Ability to work well under changing deadlines and exceptional organizational abilities
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Luxury experience is preferred
