Job Description:
  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, advertising or communications.
  • 4+ years of marketing experience (2+ years managing programs focused on delivering and optimizing digital campaigns)
  • In-depth understanding of various marketing channel tactics (e.g. search, social, display): campaign management, reporting/metrics, planning process, creative uses, and optimization
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel: speed/efficiency, pivots, charts, formulas, calculated fields, etc.
  • Strong experience working with marketing technology platforms and analytics/reporting tools
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • A self-starter who can become self-sufficient; a question asker; a team player; an organized time manager
  • Confidence in analyzing data and successfully optimizing marketing campaigns
  • Experience mentoring or managing peers and strong grasp of leadership skills/concepts: maximizing bandwidth and output, empowerment/morale, prioritization, opportunity cost
  • Experienced in making business cases and amplifying wins
  • Solutions-focused thinker

About the Role

The Manager role includes client, team, and agency responsibilities, such as:

  • Mentoring, managing, and growing the careers of an activation team
  • Oversight and quality assurance over direct reports client work
  • Recurring 1:1 meetings; annual reviews to set goals and provide performance feedback
  • Supporting the development of team members to maximize their performance, contribution, and job satisfaction
  • Overseeing performance and strategy of all relevant marketing channel(s).
  • Assisting leadership with macro-level tasks including: client satisfaction, presentations, cross-channel strategy, growth opportunities, and road mapping/planning.
  • Translating broader strategy into tactical plans for execution; assisting in campaign strategy development such as channel selection, targeting, and budget allocation.
  • Heavily contributing to client business reviews, before and during meetings.
  • Managing relationships with clients, media vendors, and technology partners to promote feature adoption and seek efficiency gains.
  • Auditing, improving, or creating processes to improve workflows.
  • Leading recurring client calls such as status, reporting, and reviews.
  • Regularly communicating with client stakeholders to understand business changes, challenges, and objectives.
  • Mastery of your client s industry, best practices, and success stories.
  • Identifying trends and key insights to exceed goals; recognizing opportunities and escalating appropriately; serving as escalation to team members.
  • Search craft work:
  • Developing strong understanding of search s role in solving business objectives and its place among other marketing channels.
  • Developing top-to-bottom search planning skills for new or organic growth opportunities.
  • Feature adoption; applying search craft learnings to client campaigns, ensuring best practices are being utilized.
  • Mastery of search fundamentals including: keywords, ad copy, targeting, account structure, metrics and calculations, optimizations, reporting, management tools, and competitor research.
  • Developing strong skills on advanced paid search tactics: bidding, budget pacing, forecasting, attribution, and conversion tracking.
  • Mastery of paid search reporting: math, pulling data from various sources, and insights writing/positioning.
  • Understanding common partner integration, platform connectivity, and data linking capabilities.
  • Supporting Search Craft leadership in ad hoc projects, thought leadership, and general practice development.
  • Learning how SEO and paid search work in tandem.
  • Proactively contributing to internal knowledge-sharing forums; attending and help lead search practice meetings; volunteering for stretch projects.
  • Following industry news updates from external publications.
  • Collaborating with managers and peers to get exposure to different client approaches and search tactics.
  • Gaining experience and comfort with emerging campaign types (MSAN, Local, Discovery).

Compensation Range: $50,000 - $95,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
