**Duties**

** Summary**

As a MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-9/11, you will be part of NEW YORK DIST OFFICE, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. If selected, you will be responsible for providing assistance in delivering the full range of administrative programs for the office including, but not limited to, financial management, property management, records management, human capital management, procurement and information management services.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assists in gathering historical data, budget requests, and management inputs for preparation of the annual Operating Plan and Budget Request.

+ Develop and maintain a regional offices Accountable/Sensitive Property Inventory.

+ Serve as a point of contact regarding maintenance of administrative files related to financial management, property management, records management, human resources, supply management, contracting, information management and outreach.

+ Works with staff to implement outreach and training. Provides assistance in the development of training materials and other outreach program documents.

+ Provides guidance regarding a variety of human resource actions. **Travel Required**

To qualify for this position at the GS-09 level you must possess one of the following:

+ Have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-7 (or equivalent) grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is: procuring office equipment and supplies; maintaining financial records; and developing segments of reports for management; **OR**

+ Have a bachelor's degree with either a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) based on a 4.0 scale; a 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale) for required courses completed in your major field of study during your junior and senior years at a 4-year college or university; or membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies; excluding freshman honor societies; **OR**

+ Have completed one full year of graduate level education in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university. The education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. (Degree must be related to the position. i.e. Business Administration; Public Administration, etc.); **OR**

+ Have a combination of education and specialized experience which when combined is equivalent to 100% of the qualifications requirements.

**To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one of the following:**

+ Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service or equivalent. Specialized experience includes providing administrative management services to a regional office in support of budget and financial management; procurement of office equipment and supplies; reviewing and contributing to contract development; and performing program analysis to write and distribute reports to management: **OR**

+ Have completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education OR possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field related to the position. (i.e. Business Administration; Public Administration); **OR**

+ Have a combination of graduate level education beyond the first 2 years of progressive graduate study and specialized experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-07 or higher grade level for the GS-09 level of this position, or one year at the GS-09 level or higher the GS-11 level of this position.
