Experienced Maintenance Technician wanted for a full-time position. Hours are 7am to 3pm. Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed.. Pay rate is $23 Hourly. Minimum 3 years' experience. Certification a plus in HVAC, electric, plumbing and carpentry. A valid driver's license is required and your own vehicle use is mandatory. Three years experience in general maintenance and repair as well as the ability to work independently.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus Trade Certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot/repair basic plumbing and electrical issues
- Overall knowledge and ability to utilize basic hand tools a must
- Three years' experience in general maintenance and repair
- Strongappliance diagnostics/repair background
- Valid driver's license
- RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensure assigned homes meet agency standards for safety. Location: Suffolk County.
- Complete all work assignments in an efficient manner.
- Must have ability to perform snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed and assigned, including providing on-call support during storms or other emergencies.
- Correct any identified maintenance needs.
- Purchase and store necessary equipment and supplies.
- Submit receipts of all purchases made on a weekly basis.
- Establish systems to ensure for ongoing routine maintenance.
- Scheduling flexibility as needed.
- Attendance at weekly scheduled maintenance meetings.
- Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices.
