Job Description:
Job Title:Maintenance Team LeaderSummary:Accountable for supervision of maintenance activities for plant operating areas, management of daily maintenance shop workload and union personnel and integration with area operations, maintenance planning & scheduling, Process Leaders and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure timely and effective repairs, improvements and service to plant equipment and production.Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for the execution of scheduled maintenance activities and any unscheduled urgent and emergent repairs.
  • Execute short interval control for operations and maintenance communications
  • Ensure direct reporting employees' time confirm their work assignments as well as enter/ensure time confirmations for area contracted work with completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure completion of maintenance compliance activities; Management of hourly craft will be a significant part of the responsibility of this position
  • Approve Timekeeping (Kronos) and adjust work center availability for vacations, absences, Overtime, etc. (SAP). Logs and performs disciplinary actions for deviations
  • Create and convert proactive and remediation notifications in SAP (M1/PM01)
  • Distribute work orders to craftsmen coordinate with contractors for planned work and make adjustments in the schedule based on exception priorities
  • Ensure Reporting Crafts Technically Complete (TECO) work orders in SAP for Preventative Maintenance (PM03, PM05)
  • Ensure / Perform TECO in SAP for Remediation/Reactive/Operations Support work orders (PM01, PM02, PM09)
  • Review maintenance execution job delays and take action to prevent future occurrence
  • Work with Engineering to improve equipment reliability in support of production requirements
  • Drive significant improvements in maintenance practices, costs, and environmental health and safety challenges
  • Ensure 100% compliance with hourly training requirements for direct reporting employees
  • Document and address deficiencies/grievances for direct reporting employees
Qualifications:The following are required for the role
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a chemical/industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction/maintenance supervision experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/supervise a diverse union workforce and contractors.
  • Proven ability to lead maintenance activities and motivate work crews.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to multitask, and good time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
The following are preferred for this role
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt training.
  • Experience with SAP maintenance and purchasing transactions.
  • Experience with managing capital investment projects and maintenance expense budgets.

Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.
