Job Description:

We are expanding and looking to add a Maintenance Manager to our team! This is a salaried position that pays $70,000-$100,000/year.

Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining the plant equipment and physical facility to assure the plant runs smoothly and efficiently to produce ferrite powder.

Responsibilities

  • Personnel Management: Supervise employees in the Maintenance Department including skilled areas of electrical, millwrights, welder/fabrication, mechanics, and the custodian. Determine priorities and assign all work in the Maintenance Department. Responsible for assisting and training the maintenance employees as necessary and evaluating their job performance.
  • Plant and Equipment Maintenance: Keep plant equipment and property in good, safe operating condition. Responsible for equipment planning, preventive maintenance, and supplies inventory at the factory. Responsible for assuring equipment repair and parts inventory records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Employee Safety: Enforce all safety rules and the use of safety equipment. Assure maintenance employees are trained in and comply to Federal, State, and local safety regulations.
  • Environmental Compliance: Complete form R report (Toxic Chemical Release Inventory) yearly. Renew plant operating permits for air containment sources for New York EPA.
  • Assist Process Engineer with technical and related processes at the New York plant as well as other Hoosier facilities in order to help determine new equipment capabilities. Assist in developing and planning plant projects including cost assessment and AR write-up.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred with an emphasis on Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, but will consider work experience and education as qualifications for this position, as determined by the Plant Manager.
  • 5 years previous maintenance supervisory experience in a process manufacturing environment is required.
  • Personal craft skills at the journeyman level such as welder, electrician, machinist, millwright, are a benefit.
  • Thorough knowledge of plant equipment, equipment planning, and preventative maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of combustion systems is helpful.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead employees to achieve the plant's performance objectives through teamwork.
  • Leadership skills required include ability to give clear and consistent instructions to employees and follow through to assure the project is completed satisfactorily

Salary info:

$34 - $48 / hr
